Firefox is now on the ballot, for the 26th time since
its creation in 2004, as part of the Google Chrome, Opera, WebKit, and Mozilla

Samsung’s
blu-ray players and TVs now come with a custom Firefox browser that is
optimized for the company’s TVs and the HD Blu-ray Disc format, along with some
other enhancements.

Though the
new browser doesn’t incorporate any specific Firefox features, it will enable
users to browse on these TVs and Blu-ray players with HTML5-enabled websites.

In order to
use the new browser, customers need to download the browser (3.0GB), which is
supported on Windows 7 or 8, and Mac OS X 10.7.4 or later.

wanted to build an experience that will enhance users’ digital viewing
experience,” said Jung Sung-woo, head of marketing and consumer affairs for
Samsung Electronics’ head of mobile department in Korea, in a statement. “We are
very excited to have that with this new version of Firefox on [its] latest
products.”

Samsung’s
blu-ray players and TVs also support features like Netflix, YouTube, Twitter,
Google Search, and Facebook.

Firefox and
WebKit browsers come with more than 200 features, but they do not support
Firefox’s API for third-party developers, to meet the demands of a growing
